Nay Pyi Taw, May 5 —Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing will soon depart for the Russian Federation on an official goodwill visit at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
During the visit, the Senior General will attend the 80th Anniversary Commemoration of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War (1941–1945), taking place in Moscow. He is also expected to participate in related events and hold bilateral meetings with attending world leaders.
The visit aims to further strengthen bilateral ties between Myanmar and Russia across key sectors including diplomatic relations, economic cooperation, and security.
Joining the official delegation is Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, wife of the Chairman and Prime Minister. She will accompany the trip at the invitation of Ms. Valentina Matvienko, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, and is scheduled to hold discussions with her Russian counterpart during the visit.
Members of the State Administration Council, Union ministers, and senior officials will also be part of the delegation, reflecting the significance of the high-level diplomatic mission.
